Freight traffic for Asian airlines plunged 11 per cent in October, the steepest decline for the carriers since 2001 and a worrying signal that the downturn is worsening. Delta Air Lines Inc has announced its departure from its US cargo joint venture with Air France-KLM and Korean Air as of January. TIACA urges liberalisation push
TIACA (The International Air Cargo Association) ended its annual cargo meeting by calling on countries that support the separation of cargo from passenger rights to reach agreement on a separate cargo annex permitting fifth, sixth and seventh freedomrights.
