The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released February data for global air freight markets showing a sharp increase in year-on-year air freight volumes. All Nippon Airways (ANA) has firmed up an order it placed in January for seven A321 aircraft. Taiwan's China Airlines (CAL) has launched a new freighter service from Taoyuan to Shenzhen. The airline will operate three flights per week on this route using B747-400F jets. Turkish Cargo is offering new services to two cities: Chicago and Kuwait City. The all-cargo weekly flight to Chicago O’Hare will supplement the already healthy belly capacity currently available in multiple Turkish passenger flights to cities in both the US and Canada. The flight to Kuwait will also be operated once every week, heading non-stop to Kuwait City on Tuesdays and returning via Dubai World Central on the same day.
