World Airways leases two additional B747-400s
World Airways, a subsidiary of Global Aviation Holdings Inc., has entered into an agreement to add two leased Boeing 747-400 freighters to its fleet. The aircraft, scheduled for delivery in December 2010 and February 2011, will grow World's B747-400 freighter fleet to four aircraft. BAWC sees increase in volume, yield and revenue
British Airways World Cargo has reported commercial revenue - flown revenue plus fuel surcharges - of £175 million (US$273.3 million) for the first quarter of the financial year beginning April 2010. This represents an increase of 36.7 per cent against the same period last year. Excluding the impact of favourable exchange rate movements, commercial revenues were up 34.6 per cent. China Southern Airlines has announced that it will soon start two new services to Europe and the US, as well as boost flights on current routes, in a bid to strengthen its global air cargo network, according to Xinhua. From 24 July the Chinese carrier's cargo division began flying between Guangzhou and Amsterdam with four flights a week using its new B777F aircraft. ABC takes delivery of 10th B747F
AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC), the scheduled cargo airline of Russia's Volga-Dnepr Group, has taken delivery of its third Boeing 747-400 freighter in four months, increasing its total fleet to 10 B747F.
