FedEx introduces zero-emission all-electric vehicles in Japan
Marking the first use of all-electric pickup and delivery vehicles in Japan, FedEx Express (FedEx) has announced the introduction of two zero-emission all-electric Nissan e-NV200 vehicles at the Shinsuna station for Tokyo area pickups and deliveries. FedEx Express has announced improvements to its international outbound express services in six Chinese cities, including Fuzhou, Xiamen, Chongqing, Chengdu, Changchun and Xi’an. FedEx forecasts record-breaking shipments this peak season
FedEx Corp. predicts it will move a record-breaking 317 million shipments between Black Friday (27 November) and Christmas Eve. This forecast marks a 12.4 per cent increase in year-over-year seasonal volume. The season is expected to be bolstered by three volume spikes in the US, including Cyber Monday (30 November) and the first two Mondays in December, when the company expects to move more than double its average daily volume.
