Worldwide Flight Services and Kuehne+Nagel partner in Frankfurt to accelerate cost-efficient import cargo clearances

Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), a SATS company, has launched a pilot project with global logistics provider Kuehne+Nagel to accelerate import cargo clearances at Frankfurt Airport. Traffic volumes hold steady in Frankfurt Airport

Some 3.9 million passengers traveled via Frankfurt Airport in February 2025. As a result, passenger numbers remained almost unchanged from the same month last year (down 0.1 percent). In February 2024, the extra leap day additionally boosted traffic volumes. Fraport traffic figures – January 2025: Decrease at Frankfurt Airport

3.9 million travelers flew via Frankfurt Airport (FRA) in January. This corresponded to a decrease of 3.1 per cent compared to the same month in 2024. The decline was a result of cuts to flight services by the Lufthansa Group, while other airlines increased their services. Cargo volumes fell by 3.9 percent in January, to 148,321 metric tons. Some 61.6 million passengers traveled through Frankfurt Airport (FRA) in 2024, representing an increase of around 3.7 percent compared to 2023.
