American Airlines has submitted a proposal to the US Department of Transportation to begin daily nonstop service from Los Angeles to the Chinese capital of Beijing, two weeks after Delta Air Lines announced a similar bid. (PACTL) set a new record for freight volumes in 2015, achieving overall tonnage growth of 6.47 per cent year-on-year, having processed nearly 1.6 million tonnes of air freight.
