Emirates SkyCargo will soon be adding the popular Indonesian Island of Bali to its Asia Pacific network, opening up a new trade lane between the island and the cargo carrier’s network of more than 140 destinations. CAL begins CEIV Pharma at Liege
Tel Aviv-based CAL Group has announced it has joined IATA’s Centre of Excellence for Independent Validators Pharmaceutical Logistics (CEIV Pharma) programme. Once completed, CAL will be the first group to have a certified pharmaceutical logistics programme throughout its logistics hub at Liege Airport. AirAsia X eyes London, Hawaii
AirAsia X, the long-haul arm of Malaysia-based AirAsia, will spread its wings to the US for the first time later this year. The low-cost airline said in a regulatory filing Monday that it plans to begin four weekly flights between Kuala Lumpur and Honolulu International Airport on 1 November. FedEx set to buy TNT for €4.4 billion
FedEx Corp's €4.4 billion bid Tuesday for TNT Express took the world's last large potential integrator acquisition target off the table, marking a victory in FedEx's battle to gain market share from rival United Parcel Service Inc. IATA: CNY, US port delay boost Feb air freight
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released February data for global air freight markets showing a sharp increase in year-on-year air freight volumes. Growth measured by freight tonne kilometers (FTK) was up 11.7 per cent in February, compared to February 2014. Capacity grew 7.4 per cent.
