Frankfurt continues to see decline in cargo volumes
Frankfurt Airport (FRA) saw a continuing trend of recent months with a 1.4 per cent drop in cargo volumes to 159,721 tonnes in February compared to a year ago. The airport saw a similar trend to other airports on the passenger side with passenger numbers up 3.8 per cent year-on-year. Feb cargo down 1.8% at Brussels, Ethiopian may return
The total cargo volume at Brussels Airport dropped by 1.8 per cent in February with the decline minimised by the extra day in February, which accounts for three per cent of the total volume of the month. Thanks primarily to the leap day, belly cargo rose by 4.3 per cent and the volume of integrator cargo rose by 2.9 per cent in comparison with February last year.
