Lynden Air Cargo flies aid to Vanuatu
Lynden Air Cargo’s L-100 Hercules aircraft is being put to use flying relief supplies to Vanuatu after Tropical Cyclone Pam devastated the South Pacific Islands earlier this month. Communications company Digicel Fiji chartered a Lynden Air Cargo plane from Nadi, Fiji, to the capital city of Port Vila within days of the cyclone. Finnair to build new cargo terminal
Finnair plans to invest approximately €80 million (US$87.76 million) into a new cargo terminal at Helsinki Airport, near the airline’s technical operations area. Construction of the 377,000-square-foot facility is to begin immediately, with opening anticipated for spring 2017. Cebu Pacific (CEB) and Cargohaus inaugurated the Smiths Detection CIP-300 air cargo inspection portal at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 yesteday. From this summer, IAG Cargo is starting a new route into Colombia and reopening its route into Cuba.
