Sodexi opens express freight hub at CDG
France-based express package handler Sodexi, a joint venture of Air France-KLM (65 per cent) and Geopost (35 per cent), began operation of a new 7,600 sq m (818,000 sq ft) express freight terminal at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport last week. APAC airlines report increased cargo demand
Preliminary traffic figures for the month of November released by the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) showed that both international passenger and air cargo markets recorded further growth in demand. The British International Freight Association (BIFA) has welcomed SkyCargo’s move to return to an all-in pricing on air freight shipments to and from Europe from 1st of February and on the airline's global network from 1st of March. The cargo arm of Dubai-based Emirates said the single “all-in” charge would be based on weight plus the current fuel and security fees.
