Emirates adds Burkina Faso freighter
Emirates Skycargo has bolstered operations on its African trade route network with the introduction of a weekly freighter service to Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso. This is the 27th African destination to join the carrier's network. Emirates SkyCargo operates a B777F on the Dubai-Ouagadougou-Dakar (Senegal)-Frankfurt (Germany)-Dubai route. JAL’s profit drops despite strong cargo revenue
Japan Airlines (JAL) reported a 3.1 per cent YoY drop in group net profit for the first three quarters of fiscal 2014, to 119.684 billion yen (US$1.01 billion), despite a nearly double-digit rise in international cargo revenue. BMW, Bosch join DB in cartel damages claim
Reuters reported that German carmaker BMW and car supplier Bosch would join Deutsche Bahn in two claims for about 2.1 billion euros (US$2.4 billion) in damages from air freight carriers involved in a cartel.
