Amazon has yet again quietly moved to ramp up its steps into the transportation realm, this time in France where it is expected to shortly acquire a 75 per cent stake in the French package-delivery company Colis Privé, that it doesn’t already own. Global air freight markets show volumes in decline by 1.3 per cent in November 2015, thereby removing the optimism from the first half of the year, said the Airports Council International in releasing its monthly statistics. Lufthansa Cargo rides out a challenging year 2% up
Lufthansa Cargo again maintained its leading position in Europe last year, with a total of 1.6 million tonnes of freight and mail flown and 8.4 billion revenue tonne-kilometres sold. The total volume grew slightly by 2.0 per cent in what the German carriers said was a "challenging market environment". PACTL sets new freight volume record in 2015
Shanghai Pudong Int’l Airport Cargo Terminal Co., Ltd. (PACTL) set a new record for freight volumes in 2015, achieving overall tonnage growth of 6.47 per cent year-on-year, having processed nearly 1.6 million tonnes of air freight. Brussels enjoys robust 7.8% cargo growth in 2015
Brussels Airport wrapped up 2015 with a year of strong growth on both the passenger side (up 7.0 per cent) and cargo with a full 7.8 per cent growth over the previous year thanks to the full freighter and express segments. Airbus delivers record aircraft in 2015, breaks even on A380
Airbus has exceeded its targets for 2015, achieving a new record of 635 aircraft deliveries for 85 customers of which 10 are new. These deliveries comprise: 491 A320 Family aircraft; 103 A330s; 27 A380s; and 14 A350 XWBs.
