Frankfurt continues to see decline in cargo volumes

Frankfurt Airport (FRA) saw a continuing trend of recent months with a 1.4 per cent drop in cargo volumes to 159,721 tonnes in February compared to a year ago. The airport saw a similar trend to other airports on the passenger side with passenger numbers up 3.8 per cent year-on-year. Fraport sees flat-lined cargo volumes in January

Frankfurt Airport (FRA) has started off the year with cargo volumes reaching a similar level as in 2015, with 159,650 tonnes handled at FRA in January 2016, down 0.1 per cent year-on-year. Lufthansa Cargo rides out a challenging year 2% up

Lufthansa Cargo again maintained its leading position in Europe last year, with a total of 1.6 million tonnes of freight and mail flown and 8.4 billion revenue tonne-kilometres sold. The total volume grew slightly by 2.0 per cent in what the German carriers said was a "challenging market environment". China Airlines renews Fraport Cargo Services contract early

Fraport Cargo Services (FCS) and China Airlines have renewed the carrier’s cargo handling contract at Frankfurt Airport in advance of the date required – “thus carrying on their trustful partnership of more than 20 years,” the ground handler said. Frankfurt sees 2% cargo decline in July

Cargo (airfreight and airmail) dropped by two per cent to 177,840 tonnes in July 2015 compared to a year earlier, while 6.2 million passengers set a new record for Frankfurt Airport .
