Philippine Airlines (PAL) has confirmed it is in talks with Airbus and Boeing to buy as many as 12 wide-body aircraft and will decide on the purchase before the end of the year, the flag carrier's president Jaime Bautista told Reuters, recently. EVA Airways has finalised an historic order for up to 24 B787-10 Dreamliners and two B777-300ER aircraft. The order, valued at more than US$8 billion at current list prices, marks the largest single commercial airplane purchase in Taiwan aviation. Airbus factories are preparing the first fuselage structures for the new A350-1000. Ethiopian Airlines’ first A350 XWB takes shape
The first A350-900 for Ethiopian Airlines is taking shape on the Final Assembly Line (FAL) in Toulouse, France. Ethiopian Airlines will be the first African A350 XWB operator when it takes delivery of the aircraft next year. Mating of the various aircraft fuselage sections has begun and the vertical stabiliser (tailfin) has been attached. AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC), part of Volga-Dnepr Group, has taken delivery of two more B747-8 Freighters today.
