Ethiopian Airlines’ first A350 XWB takes shape

The first A350-900 for Ethiopian Airlines is taking shape on the Final Assembly Line (FAL) in Toulouse, France. Ethiopian Airlines will be the first African A350 XWB operator when it takes delivery of the aircraft next year. Mating of the various aircraft fuselage sections has begun and the vertical stabiliser (tailfin) has been attached. Work is also underway on joining the wings and the horizontal tailplanes to the fuselage, after which its undercarriage will be fitted. AirBridgeCargo takes delivery of two more B747-8Fs

AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC), part of Volga-Dnepr Group, has taken delivery of two more B747-8 Freighters today. The aircraft are the first to be delivered as part a memorandum of understanding, signed between Boeing and Volga-Dnepr Group at the Paris Air Show in June 2015. Singapore Airlines adds Düsseldorf to network

Düsseldorf will become the third German city in Singapore Airlines’ route network next year, when non-stop flights are introduced from Singapore. Middle East forecast to need 3,180 new aircraft over next 20 years

Boeing forecasts airlines in the Middle East will require 3,180 new aircraft over the next 20 years, valued at an estimated US$730 billion, with 70 per cent of the demand expected to be driven by rapid fleet expansion in the region. ICAO’s dangerous goods panel rejects battery ban 11-7
