Korean Air flies direct to Milan, Rome
Korean Air has announced that commencing 25 February 2015 it will change the current service on its Seoul Incheon - Milan - Rome – Incheon route, to provide direct flights to both Milan and Rome, offering three flights a week to each destination, with Milan increasing to four times a week in March. AF-KLM Cargo’s Varwijk calls it a day
Confirming what was reported in December by Dutch press, Erik Varwijk, managing director of Air France-KLM Cargo has resigned, effective 1 March after 25 years at the carrier. In a statement Varwijk said: “I have decided that I will not be available for reappointment at the end of my current term on 1 July. Boeing reports record 4Q2014 revenue
Boeing reported record fourth-quarter revenue of US$24.5 billion on higher deliveries and core earnings per share (non-GAAP) that increased 23 per cent to US$2.31, reflecting strong performance across the company. Fourth-quarter 2014 core operating earnings (non-GAAP) increased to US$2.3 billion and GAAP earnings from operations increased to US$2 billion. OECD: Int’l freight to quadruple by 2050
The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) said in its ITF Transport Outlook that in the face of shifting global trade patterns, international freight transport volumes will grow more than fourfold (factor 4.3) by 2050. The ITF International Transport Forum is an inter-governmental organisation within the OECD. JAL’s profit drops despite strong cargo revenue
Japan Airlines (JAL) reported a 3.1 per cent YoY drop in group net profit for the first three quarters of fiscal 2014, to 119.684 billion yen (US$1.01 billion), despite a nearly double-digit rise in international cargo revenue.
